The daytime half of the Night Nurse family: paracetamol 500mg for the fever, aches, headache and sore throat of a cold or flu, with pseudoephedrine 30mg to unblock the nose and sinuses, in a non-drowsy tablet that lets you get through a working day. General-sale daytime cold remedies use phenylephrine, which many people find does little for congestion. Day Nurse uses pseudoephedrine, the decongestant that works, so it's supplied after a short questionnaire and limited to one pack per order. Pair it with Night Nurse for the evening and you have round-the-clock cover without doubling up on paracetamol during the day.

Adults: two tablets up to three times a day, at least four hours apart. Ages 16 to 18: one or two tablets up to three times a day. Ages 12 to 15: one tablet up to three times a day. Not for under-12s, not for more than five days, and not with any other paracetamol, cold, flu or decongestant product.

Contains paracetamol: count it towards your daily limit and never combine it with another paracetamol product. Pseudoephedrine isn't suitable with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma or within 14 days of an MAOI antidepressant; the questionnaire checks each.
