Product overview
About Ashton & Parsons Teething Powders
The teething powders parents have passed down for generations, still made to the traditional recipe: each sachet of fine powder carries a tincture of Matricaria (German chamomile), used for the relief of teething pain and the sore, tender gums, flushed cheeks and dribbling that go with it. A registered traditional herbal medicine, drug-free, and suitable from 3 months. 30 sachets.
Why a herbal powder
Lidocaine gels can't be used until 5 months, and paracetamol is a bigger step than many parents want for a grizzly evening. The powders fill that gap: gentle enough to give a young baby, easy to repeat, and easy to combine later with a teething gel or a cold teething ring. The claim is based on traditional use only, and there's no sugar or salicylate in them.
How to use
Tip the powder onto the tongue, or place it on a clean fingertip and rub it gently along the gums. 3 to 6 months: half a sachet in the morning and half in the evening. Over 6 months: one sachet morning and evening. If needed, an extra dose can be given every one to three hours, up to six doses in 24 hours. If teething symptoms are no better after seven days, see a pharmacist or GP.
Good to know

Frequently asked questions
How do I give the powder to a baby?
Tip it straight onto the tongue, or put it on a clean fingertip and rub along the gums. It dissolves quickly; no water needed.
Can I use it with Calpol or a teething gel?
Yes. It doesn't contain paracetamol, ibuprofen or lidocaine, so it can be combined with them at their own pack doses. Lidocaine gels are for babies from 5 months.
How many doses can I give in a day?
The morning and evening doses, plus extra doses every one to three hours if needed, up to six doses in 24 hours.
