About NeilMed PediaMist

The children's saline from NeilMed: PediaMist is a sterile, natural, gentle mist that cleans and moisturises a stuffy nose from colds, sinus congestion and allergies, with a soft nozzle and a can sized for small hands. Drug-free, for babies and children from 1 year. 75ml.

Why saline for a child's stuffy nose

Most decongestants aren't licensed for young children, and the ones that are can't be used for long. Saline can be used every day, all winter and through the pollen season, because it's simply thinning mucus and rinsing the nose. Used before bed it's often the difference between a settled night and a snuffly one.

How to use

With the child sitting up or on your lap, insert the soft nozzle gently into one nostril and press briefly for a short mist, then the other side. Encourage a nose-blow or wipe. Use before meals, before bed and whenever the nose is blocked.

Good to know

One can per child; wipe the nozzle after use. Fine alongside children's paracetamol or antihistamines. If a child is struggling to breathe, has a high fever or is drinking much less than usual, see a GP or call 111. See the rest of our children's cough and cold range.
