About Voltarol Back & Muscle 50g

The middle size of Voltarol's diclofenac gel: anti-inflammatory relief massaged directly into strained backs, pulled muscles and overworked shoulders. Bigger than the travel 30g, handier than the pump-sized 100g. Ages 14+.

Treating the injury, not the whole body

Rubbed into the skin over the strain, diclofenac reaches the inflamed tissue at working strength while very little enters the bloodstream — which is why guidance puts topical NSAIDs ahead of tablets for localised muscle and joint pain.

How to use

Adults 14+: massage a small amount into the painful area 2–3 times daily, on unbroken skin, washing hands afterwards. Give a muscle strain a few consistent days.

Good to know

The usual NSAID checks apply even through skin — flag it to a pharmacist if you take oral anti-inflammatories, have aspirin-sensitive asthma or are pregnant. Back pain with numbness or tingling into the legs is a doctor's job, not a gel's.
