Lamisil is a trusted antifungal brand containing terbinafine, used to treat fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot and ringworm. It works by killing the fungus that causes the infection.
The range includes Lamisil cream, Lamisil Once single-application treatment and Lamisil AT spray.
Browse the Lamisil range below, dispatched from our UK pharmacy. Always read the label; see a pharmacist or GP if the infection is widespread, keeps coming back, or does not clear up.
Lamisil cream contains the antifungal terbinafine and is used to treat fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm and fungal groin infections. It works by killing the fungus that causes the infection.
Lamisil Once is a single-application treatment for athlete's foot that forms a film on the skin, and one treatment is normally enough, so you should not need to apply it again straight away. Do not reapply unless the pack or a pharmacist tells you to; if the infection has not cleared after the expected time, speak to your pharmacist.
The concern about the liver relates to Lamisil tablets (oral terbinafine), which are prescription-only and can affect the liver, so a doctor monitors you while you take them. The Lamisil cream and spray you buy over the counter are used on the skin with very little absorbed, so they do not carry that risk - but if you are on the tablets, follow your GP's advice and monitoring.
Lamisil cream and spray are designed for skin infections and do not penetrate the nail well, so they are not an effective treatment for fungal nail infections. For toenail fungus, speak to your pharmacist or GP, who may recommend a special nail treatment or, in some cases, terbinafine tablets.
Yes - ringworm is a fungal skin infection, and Lamisil's antifungal terbinafine is effective against it. Apply it as directed and finish the course; see a pharmacist or GP if it does not clear up or is widespread.
Yes, the active ingredient in Lamisil is terbinafine, an antifungal medicine. It is what tackles the fungus behind infections such as athlete's foot and ringworm.
