About Snufflebabe Vapour Rub

Snufflebabe is the baby vapour rub — an inhalation vapour ointment made for little noses from 3 months old, at an age when adult rubs like Vicks VapoRub aren't suitable. The gentle blend of eucalyptus oil, menthol and thyme oil releases soothing vapours that help ease a baby's blocked nose and snuffly congestion, particularly at bedtime. 35g jar.

How it helps a blocked nose

Babies can't blow their noses, so congestion hits their sleep (and yours) hard. The vapours from the three oils gently reach stuffy airways as your baby breathes, easing the snuffles without any medicine going into their body — it works by inhalation alone.

How to use

Rub a small amount onto your baby's chest and back, where body warmth releases the vapours — never on the face, nostrils or broken skin. You can also smear a little on a tissue or muslin tied near the cot (out of reach). Check the label's safety information before first use.

Snuffles or something more?

Snuffly newborn breathing is common and usually harmless. See a GP if your baby has difficulty breathing or feeding, a persistent high temperature, or you're worried — and use saline drops and a nasal aspirator alongside the rub for stubborn congestion.
