Paracetamol, engineered for speed: Panadol's liquid capsules hold 500mg of dissolved paracetamol in a smooth gelatine shell — easier to swallow than tablets and quicker to release. For headaches, migraine, toothache, period pain, backache, and cold-and-flu fever and aches. 16 capsules.
Why paracetamol endures
It's the gentlest first-line painkiller: no stomach irritation, safe with most conditions and medications (including in pregnancy at normal doses), and effective across everyday pain and fever. The liquid-capsule format adds speed and swallowability to a formula sixty years proven.
How to take
Adults and children 12+: two capsules up to four times daily, always at least four hours between doses, never more than eight capsules (4g) in 24 hours. With or without food — paracetamol doesn't mind.
Good to know
The only rule that really matters: count every paracetamol source — cold remedies, Lemsip-style drinks, co-codamol — because doubling up risks serious liver damage. Pain persisting beyond 10 days (3 days for fever) needs assessment, not more capsules.

How much is too much?
Never exceed 8 capsules (4g) in 24 hours, with at least 4 hours between doses — and count paracetamol from ALL sources including cold remedies.
Is paracetamol safe in pregnancy?
At normal doses it's the painkiller of choice in pregnancy — but keep doses minimal and check anything else you take with a pharmacist.
