Product overview

About Kwells

The travel sickness tablet that works fast: Kwells is hyoscine hydrobromide, which blocks the inner-ear signals that make the brain sound the nausea alarm on boats, planes, coaches and winding roads. Taken 30 minutes before setting off it prevents sickness starting — and unlike most travel remedies it can still help once the journey has begun. The 300 microgram tablet, for adults and children over 10. 12 tablets.

Why Kwells rather than cinnarizine

Cinnarizine has to be in your system two hours ahead; hyoscine works in 30 minutes and still helps if you've left it late. It's the pick for the sudden ferry crossing, the child who only goes green once the coach is moving, and anyone who forgets until the car is packed.

How to take

Adults and children over 10: one tablet 30 minutes before travel, repeated every six hours if needed. Children 4–10: half a tablet. Tablets can be sucked, chewed or swallowed. Leave at least six hours between doses and don't exceed three in 24 hours.

Good to know

Hyoscine can cause drowsiness, blurred vision and a dry mouth — fine for a passenger, not for the driver, and no alcohol on the trip. Not suitable with glaucoma, prostate or bladder problems, and the questionnaire checks. Pharmacist-reviewed before dispatch.
