About DulcoEase (30 capsules)

The gentlest answer in the laxative aisle: docusate sodium doesn't stimulate the bowel at all — it simply lets water into hard, dry stools so they soften and pass without straining. For constipation where comfort matters most. 30 soft gel capsules.

When softening beats stimulating

When passing is the painful part — after surgery, with piles or a fissure, in late pregnancy under advice — making stools softer solves the actual problem. Stimulants force a bowel movement; a softener makes the movement bearable.

How to take

Adults and children 12+: per the pack, with plenty of water through the day — a softener needs water to work with. Effects build over 1–3 days.

Good to know

Fibre, fluids and movement remain the long-term answer. Constipation with severe pain, vomiting, bleeding or a sudden habit change is GP territory before any laxative.
