Beechams Powders Aspirin & Caffeine Cold & Flu Sachets - 20 Sachets

The cold and flu remedy that's been stirred into a glass of water since 1926: each Beechams Powder is aspirin 600mg with caffeine 50mg, a fast-dissolving dose for the fever, chills, headache, sore throat and aches of colds and flu, and for everyday pain such as toothache, period pain and muscular aches. The 20-sachet box is the pharmacy pack, for adults and over-16s.

A dissolved dose gets into the bloodstream faster than a tablet and is easier on a sore throat. Aspirin brings a temperature down and eases pain; the caffeine sharpens its effect and lifts the heavy-headed feeling that comes with a cold. There's no decongestant or paracetamol in it, so it can be taken alongside paracetamol-based remedies if needed.

Adults and over-16s: mix one sachet with a little water, stir and drink, every four to six hours as needed, up to six sachets in 24 hours. Take with or after food. Not for under-16s. If symptoms last more than three days, see a pharmacist or GP.

Contains aspirin, so not for anyone with a stomach ulcer or bleeding problems, on blood thinners, with gout or aspirin-sensitive asthma, in the last three months of pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
