Product overview
About Beechams Flu Plus Caplets
Flu hits harder than a cold, and this is Beechams' harder answer: paracetamol, caffeine and phenylephrine in a non-drowsy caplet for the full flu picture — fever, shivers, headache, aching limbs and a blocked-up head. 16 caplets.
Flu versus cold, honestly
A cold creeps in; flu knocks you over. With genuine flu the treatment is rest, fluids and regular paracetamol-based relief while it burns through — usually about a week. These caplets keep the symptoms manageable; the caffeine keeps you at least vertical for the parts of the day that demand it.
How to take
Adults and children 16+: dose per pack, spaced at least 4 hours, maximum per the label. No other paracetamol products alongside.
Good to know
Flu in the frail elderly, in pregnancy, or with chest pain or breathing difficulty is GP territory — and the annual flu jab remains far better than even the best caplet.

Frequently asked questions
Cold or flu — does it matter?
Flu is the one that flattens you — sudden fever, shivers, aching everywhere. These work on both, but flu also demands proper rest and fluids.
Can I take them at night?
They contain caffeine, so late doses can cost you sleep — use a caffeine-free paracetamol product for bedtime, correctly spaced.
When is flu dangerous?
In the very old, very young, pregnant or chronically ill, or with breathing difficulty or chest pain — seek advice promptly.
