About Beechams Flu Plus Hot Lemon

The flu-strength hot drink: paracetamol and a decongestant with added vitamin C, dissolved into steaming hot lemon for fever, headache, aches and pains, sore throat and blocked nose. 10 sachets — enough to see a proper flu through.

When the hot drink beats the caplet

Flu makes swallowing anything feel like work, appetite vanishes, and warmth is the only thing that sounds good. A hot remedy delivers the medicine while soothing the throat and forcing fluids in — three jobs in one mug, four or five times a day.

How to take

Adults and children 16+: one sachet in hot (not boiling) water every 4–6 hours, maximum 4 in 24 hours. Nothing else containing paracetamol alongside.

Good to know

Vitamin C won't cure flu — nothing over the counter does — but topping it up when you're run down and barely eating does no harm and may help. The heavy lifting is done by rest, fluids and the paracetamol.
