Not with diabetes or poor circulation
Salicylic acid must not be used by anyone with diabetes or poor circulation in the feet or hands, or on the face, neck, genitals, skin folds, moles, birthmarks, hairy warts or broken skin. Keep it off the surrounding healthy skin and away from eyes; it can damage fabrics.
Give it time — see a podiatrist if no better
Verrucas can take up to 12 weeks of nightly treatment. Stop and seek advice if the skin becomes very sore, and see a pharmacist, podiatrist or GP if there's no improvement after 12 weeks, the lesion bleeds or changes, or you're unsure it's a verruca or wart at all.

About Bazuka Extra Strength Gel

More than double the strength of standard Bazuka: salicylic acid 26% in the same once-a-night gel that dries to a water-resistant film, for the thick, stubborn verrucas and warts that haven't shifted with a standard treatment. Pharmacy-only, complete kit with applicator and emery board, 5g.

When to go extra strength

A verruca that's been there for months builds a thick plug of hard skin over itself, and a 12% gel can take a long time to get through it. The 26% formula strips that layer faster. It's stronger on healthy skin too, so it's applied with more care and kept strictly to the lesion.

How to use

Every night: soak the area in warm water for two to three minutes, dry thoroughly, peel off the previous night's film, then apply one or two drops to the verruca or wart only and let it dry. Once a week, rub the surface gently with the emery board. Resistant verrucas can take several weeks.

Good to know

Not for anyone with diabetes or poor circulation, or on the face, neck, genitals, skin folds, moles, birthmarks, hairy warts or broken skin. If the surrounding skin gets sore, stop for a night or two. Avoid breathing the vapour and keep it off clothing. Pharmacist-reviewed before dispatch.
