Not with diabetes or poor circulation
Salicylic acid must not be used by anyone with diabetes or poor circulation in the feet or hands, or on the face, neck, genitals, skin folds, moles, birthmarks, hairy warts or broken skin. Keep it off the surrounding healthy skin and away from eyes; it can damage fabrics.
Give it time — see a podiatrist if no better
Verrucas can take up to 12 weeks of nightly treatment. Stop and seek advice if the skin becomes very sore, and see a pharmacist, podiatrist or GP if there's no improvement after 12 weeks, the lesion bleeds or changes, or you're unsure it's a verruca or wart at all.

Product overview

About Bazuka Gel

The original once-a-day verruca gel: salicylic acid 12% with lactic acid 4% in a gel that dries to a water-resistant film, so it keeps working on the verruca, wart, corn or callus all night while stopping the infection spreading to the rest of the foot or the household. Complete kit with applicator and emery board, no plasters needed. 5g, pharmacy pack.

How it works

Salicylic acid softens and peels away the thickened skin the virus hides in, layer by layer, while the film seals the area so the virus can't shed. It's the treatment podiatrists still recommend first, and clinically proven; the catch is patience, because a verruca can take up to 12 weeks of nightly use to clear.

How to use

Every night: soak the foot or hand in warm water for a few minutes, dry thoroughly, then apply one or two drops to the verruca or wart only and let it dry to a film. Next night, peel the film off and reapply. Once a week, rub the surface gently with the emery board to remove dead skin. Keep the emery board for that person only.

Good to know

Not for anyone with diabetes or poor circulation, or on the face, neck, genitals, moles, birthmarks or broken skin. Keep it off healthy skin; if the surrounding skin gets sore, miss a night or two. Verrucas are contagious, so cover it for swimming and don't share towels. Pharmacist-reviewed before dispatch.
