Product overview
About Anadin Original
The 1932 formula, still on the shelf for a reason: aspirin with a caffeine boost, for headaches, aches and pains handled the classic way. No paracetamol in this one — which is exactly why some people keep it. 16 caplets, ages 16+.
Where Original fits today
Being paracetamol-free makes it combinable: those already using paracetamol elsewhere — in a cold remedy, on a schedule — can still treat a headache without breaching the paracetamol count, provided no other NSAID is in play. Aspirin's anti-inflammatory action also suits pain with swelling.
How to take
Adults and children 16+: per the pack, with water, after food. Never alongside other aspirin or ibuprofen products.
Good to know
Aspirin's rules in full: not under 16, not with ulcers or aspirin-sensitive asthma, care with anticoagulants. If you're regularly choosing between painkiller aisles, our pharmacist can map what combines with what.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose Original over Extra?
No paracetamol — so it can sit alongside paracetamol you're taking elsewhere, correctly spaced, where Extra couldn't.
Can I take it with ibuprofen?
No — aspirin and ibuprofen are both NSAIDs; combining them multiplies stomach risk.
Why must it be after food?
Aspirin sits harshly on an empty stomach — food is the buffer.
