Product overview

About Anadin Extra (16 caplets)

The bathroom-cabinet size of Anadin's triple-action formula: aspirin and paracetamol working by two different routes, caffeine sharpening both, for headaches, migraines and the pains a single ingredient won't touch. 16 caplets, ages 16+.

The thinking behind the combination

Different painkillers, different mechanisms: aspirin calms inflammation where it hurts, paracetamol dampens the pain signal centrally. Together, at full adult doses with a caffeine assist, they cover more ground than either alone — which is precisely the caution too: this caplet already contains two painkillers.

How to take

Adults and children 16+: per the pack, with water, ideally after food. Nothing else containing paracetamol, aspirin or ibuprofen alongside.

Good to know

Not with ulcers, aspirin-sensitive asthma or anticoagulants without advice — and if headaches are frequent enough that a 16-pack feels small, the headaches themselves deserve a GP's look.
