About Almus Vapour Rub

How a rub clears a head
Body heat lifts the menthol, camphor and eucalyptus vapours from the skin and you breathe them in, cooling the airways and easing the blocked-nose, stuffy-head feeling. At night that's the difference between mouth-breathing misery and actual sleep — nothing to swallow, nothing that interacts with other cold medicines.
How to use
Rub a small amount onto the chest, throat and back and leave the clothing loose so the vapours rise. Repeat as directed on the pack, especially at bedtime. External use only — not in the nostrils, near the eyes or on broken skin. Check the pack for the minimum age.
Good to know
Never swallow or heat it (camphor is harmful if eaten, and the ointment is flammable). Not for babies and young children below the age on the label. A cold that lasts beyond ten days, or comes with a high fever or wheeze, needs a pharmacist or GP.
