Product overview
About Sudafed Mucus Relief Triple Action
For the cold that's all mucus: a triple-action tablet pairing paracetamol with guaifenesin to thin and loosen stubborn mucus, and phenylephrine to shrink the swollen passages it's stuck behind. Head and chest, cleared from both ends. 16 tablets.
The mucus problem, properly treated
Congestion isn't just “more snot” — it's thick mucus trapped behind swollen airways. Thinning it (guaifenesin) makes it moveable; decongesting (phenylephrine) opens the door; and the paracetamol handles the headache and sinus pain that come with the pressure.
How to take
Adults and children 12+: follow the pack dosing. Do not take with any other paracetamol product, and keep fluids up — guaifenesin works noticeably better in a well-hydrated body.
Good to know
Green or yellow mucus is normal in a viral cold and doesn't automatically mean antibiotics. But mucus with a high fever beyond a few days, face pain that worsens, or blood should be assessed.

Frequently asked questions
What does guaifenesin actually do?
It thins mucus so it stops clinging — easier to cough up from the chest and clear from the head. Drink plenty of water to help it work.
Does green mucus mean I need antibiotics?
Not by itself — discoloured mucus is normal in viral colds. See a GP if it comes with persistent high fever or worsening face pain.
Can I take extra paracetamol with it?
No — these tablets already contain it. Doubling up risks overdose.
