About Oilatum Cream (500ml pump)

The dermatology-ward staple in its largest pump: Oilatum's fragrance-free emollient pairs light liquid paraffin with white soft paraffin to soothe, soften and rehydrate eczema-prone and dry skin — relieving the itch by treating the dryness that drives it. Suitable for adults and children. 500ml.

Why paraffin emollients endure

Dry, eczema-prone skin leaks water through a damaged barrier. Paraffins seal that barrier with a protective film, holding moisture in and irritants out. It isn't glamorous, but applied generously and often it is the foundation of every eczema care plan — the part that prevents flares rather than chasing them.

How to use

Apply liberally and as often as needed — at minimum twice daily and after every wash, smoothed in the direction of hair growth. The 500ml pump is the version you keep by the sink and actually use.

Good to know

Weeping, infected or rapidly worsening eczema needs more than an emollient — see the pharmacist or GP and keep moisturising alongside. Paraffin-soaked fabric is a genuine fire risk: wash bedding and clothing regularly and stay away from naked flames.
