About Nurofen 200mg Tablets

Ibuprofen vs paracetamol
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID): it doesn't just dull pain, it damps the inflammation driving it — which is why it shines on swollen, strained and inflamed problems like sprains, period pain and dental pain. It also reduces fever. The two can be alternated for stubborn pain — ask our pharmacist how.
How to take
Adults and children 12+: one to two tablets with water, up to three times a day, leaving at least four hours between doses and never more than six tablets in 24 hours. Take with or after food — ibuprofen and empty stomachs don't mix.
Good to know
Not for people with stomach ulcers, aspirin-sensitive asthma, or in the last three months of pregnancy — and check with a pharmacist first if you take blood-pressure, heart or kidney medicines. Short-term use only: pain beyond 10 days deserves a professional look.

Ibuprofen for anything inflamed — sprains, period pain, dental pain. Paracetamol if your stomach is sensitive or ibuprofen isn't suitable. They can be alternated — ask our pharmacist.

It can irritate the stomach lining — food or milk cushions it. Never take it on an empty stomach routinely.
How many can I take?
