Product overview

About Imodium Dual Action

Diarrhoea rarely arrives alone. Imodium Dual Action pairs loperamide, which stops the diarrhoea itself, with simeticone, which tackles the cramps, bloating and wind that come with it — four symptoms handled by one tablet. 6 tablets, the pack that lives in a suitcase or desk drawer.

Two actives, two jobs

Loperamide slows the overactive gut back to a normal pace, which is why relief comes quickly. Simeticone deals with the trapped gas that makes an upset stomach genuinely painful rather than merely inconvenient — the part plain loperamide leaves untouched.

How to take

Adults and children 12+: follow the pack — typically two tablets first, then one after each loose stool, without exceeding the daily maximum. Drink plenty of fluids; rehydration matters as much as stopping the diarrhoea.

Good to know

Don't use it if there's blood in the stool or a high fever — those need a doctor, not a gut-slowing medicine. Diarrhoea lasting more than 48 hours in an adult, or affecting a young child or older person, deserves proper advice; dehydration is the real risk.
