About Gaviscon Original Peppermint

The original Gaviscon raft in its cooler flavour: sodium alginate and antacids forming a physical barrier over the stomach contents, with peppermint doing the aftertaste honours. Heartburn and indigestion relief, 250ml.

Aniseed or peppermint?

Identical medicine, honest difference in taste: aniseed is the warm, liquorice-adjacent original; peppermint finishes clean and cool, and tends to win among people who take Gaviscon at bedtime. Both build the same raft.

How to take

Adults and children 12+: 10–20ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily. Shake well before use.

Good to know

Contains sodium — mention it on a restricted-salt diet or with kidney or heart disease. Persistent heartburn beyond three weeks needs a GP, not just a flavour change.
