Product overview

About Cold and Flu Nurse All in One

Seven symptoms, one non-drowsy capsule: from the makers of Day and Night Nurse, Cold and Flu Nurse All in One combines paracetamol for fever, aches, headache and sore throat, phenylephrine for a blocked nose, and guaifenesin to loosen a chesty cough. Because it contains no sedating antihistamine it can be taken through the working day. 16 capsules, adults and children 16 and over.

Why an all-in-one

A cold rarely arrives as one symptom. Taking a painkiller, a decongestant and a cough medicine separately means three doses to track and three sets of ingredients to check; one capsule with all three in measured amounts is simpler and harder to overdo. Compared with Day Nurse, this uses phenylephrine rather than pseudoephedrine, so no pharmacist consultation is needed.

How to take

Ages 16+: two capsules every four hours as required, no more than eight capsules in 24 hours, for up to five days. Swallow with water.

Good to know

Contains paracetamol: don't take with any other paracetamol product, including Night Nurse. Not suitable with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma, or MAOI or tricyclic antidepressants. The guaifenesin is for a chesty cough; for a dry cough choose a plain cold and flu remedy instead.
