About Care Ibuprofen Gel

Why rub it in rather than swallow it

Massaging an NSAID into the skin over an injury concentrates it where the inflammation actually is. For a pulled muscle or a grumbling back, that means genuine relief at a fraction of the systemic dose — often the pharmacist's first suggestion for people who'd rather not add more tablets.

How to use

Massage a small amount into the affected area up to three or four times daily, leaving at least four hours between applications — full directions on the pack, including the minimum age. Wash hands after applying (unless you're treating them).

Good to know

Not on broken skin, near the eyes, or under dressings. Skip it if aspirin or ibuprofen has ever triggered asthma, wheezing or an allergic reaction, and ask a pharmacist first if pregnant, breastfeeding or already taking oral NSAIDs. No better after two weeks? Get it looked at.
