Product overview

About Canesten Athlete's Foot Cream

The thrush brand's other speciality: clotrimazole 1% — the same trusted antifungal — aimed at the fungus between your toes. Canesten's cream treats athlete's foot at its cause, killing the dermatophyte fungi behind the itching, flaking, cracked skin, and calming the inflammation as it clears. 15g tube from Bayer.

Why athlete's foot keeps coming back

The fungus loves exactly what feet provide: warmth, moisture, darkness. Treatment fails when it stops at “looks better” — the fungus is still there. The rule that actually cures: treat for 2–4 weeks and continue for two weeks after the skin looks perfect, while keeping feet dry and socks fresh.

How to use

Wash and thoroughly dry the feet (especially between toes), then apply a thin layer 2–3 times daily. Continue 2 weeks past visible clearing. Treat shoes too — an antifungal shoe spray stops reinfection from your own trainers.

Good to know

Spreading nail involvement (thick, yellow, crumbly nails) won't clear with skin cream — that's a different treatment conversation. Diabetics should have any foot problem professionally checked rather than self-treating.
