Canespro Fungal Nail Treatment Set - 10g Ointment + 22 Plasters

Canespro takes the direct route with a fungal nail: instead of waiting months for an antifungal to soak through, its 40% urea ointment softens the infected part of the nail so it can be scraped away in 2–3 weeks. Fungus lives inside and under the nail plate, where creams and lacquers struggle to reach. Urea at 40% dissolves the keratin of the infected, brittle sections — healthy nail is largely left alone — removing the fungus's hiding place. Once the diseased nail is gone, a course of antifungal cream can finish the job on the nail bed.

Once a day: apply the ointment thickly to the infected nail, cover with a waterproof plaster for 24 hours, then remove the plaster, soak the foot in warm water and scrape away the softened nail. Repeat daily until the infected nail is gone — typically 2–3 weeks. Then continue with an antifungal cream such as Canesten on the exposed nail bed for the period stated in the leaflet.

Not for diabetics or anyone with poor circulation without a pharmacist's advice, and check the leaflet for the minimum age. Keep the ointment off the surrounding skin. Nails grow slowly — the healthy new nail takes months to grow through, so patience after the removal phase is normal.
