About Acnecide Face 2.5% Gel

Why 2.5% rather than 5%

Studies put 2.5% benzoyl peroxide close to 5% for effectiveness, with noticeably less dryness and irritation — which matters, because irritation is why most people abandon acne treatment in week two. Start here, use it consistently, and let the skin acclimatise.

How to use

Wash and dry the face, then apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily to begin with, building up as your skin tolerates. Some dryness and mild peeling early on is normal. Give it a proper 8–12 weeks before judging.

Good to know

Benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabric — white towels and pillowcases only, learned the hard way by generations. It also increases sun sensitivity, so wear SPF. Severe, cystic or scarring acne deserves a GP; effective prescription options exist.
