Product overview

About Benylin Mucus Cough Max

Benylin's maximum-strength expectorant: guaifenesin at 100mg per 5ml, the highest over-the-counter strength, to thin and loosen the stubborn mucus behind a heavy chesty cough and deliver deep, penetrating relief. Honey and lemon flavour, 150ml — the one-cold bottle.

Why honey and lemon

A strong expectorant doesn't have to taste medicinal. The honey and lemon syrup is the smoother Benylin Max — warming, familiar, and easier to take three or four times a day than a menthol blast. 150ml sees one adult through a typical chesty cold.

How to take

Take by the measuring cup as directed on the pack, spacing doses through the day, with plenty of fluids to help the mucus move. Check the label for the minimum age.

Good to know

Don't combine with a dry-cough suppressant, and ask a pharmacist first with asthma or COPD. A cough beyond three weeks, or with blood, breathlessness or chest pain, needs a GP.
