Not for anyone under 18, and not in pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless a doctor advises. Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days. Not for use if the area is infected.
Always get rectal bleeding checked
Never assume bleeding is piles. Bleeding, a change in bowel habit, a lump or unexplained weight loss must be assessed by a GP — the same symptoms can have far more serious causes.
Stop after 7 days
If symptoms have not improved within 7 days, see your GP or pharmacist rather than continuing.

About Anusol Soothing Relief Suppositories

Anti-inflammatory relief, delivered internally. These suppositories combine the Anusol astringents with hydrocortisone for four-way action — shrinking piles, relieving discomfort, soothing itching and reducing inflammation — reaching internal haemorrhoids that no ointment can treat. 12 suppositories.

When this is the right choice

Internal piles that are inflamed and painful are the hardest to treat: creams can't reach them and plain astringents can be slow on genuine inflammation. This combination handles both problems at once, which is why it's often the one that finally works.

How to use

Adults 18 and over: insert one suppository as directed, and use for no more than 7 consecutive days. Lying on your side with knees drawn up makes insertion much easier.

Good to know

Not for under-18s, not if the area is infected, and not in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless a doctor advises — plain Anusol suppositories have no such restriction. And rectal bleeding must always be assessed by a GP.
