How early testing works
hCG appears in urine soon after implantation and doubles every couple of days. This test's ultra sensitivity picks it up days before a standard test could — with the honest caveat that the earlier you test, the lower the hormone level, so a very early negative can still become a positive. 'Not pregnant' 6 days early means retest nearer your period.
How to use
Test with first morning urine when testing early — it's the most concentrated. Sample the absorbent tip, cap it, lay it flat; the result appears in words within 3 minutes and holds on screen.
Good to know
A positive is a positive — digital tests virtually never show 'Pregnant' in error, so book in with your GP or midwife whenever you're ready. Start folic acid if you haven't already.

A positive that early is reliable — hCG doesn't lie. A negative is less final: hormone levels may simply still be below detection, so retest closer to your expected period.

What should I do after a positive?
Contact your GP or book directly with local midwifery services, and start folic acid (400µg daily) if you're not already taking it.
Can medications affect the result?
Fertility treatments containing hCG can; the pill, painkillers and antibiotics don't. If in doubt, the leaflet lists the exceptions.
