Product overview

About Floradix Floravital

Floravital is Salus' purist edition of the famous Floradix liquid iron: the same iron-and-vitamin formula in a base of herbal extracts and fruit juice concentrates, but vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, yeast-free and preservative-free. Iron and vitamins B2, B6, B12 and C all contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue — the claim printed on the front of the box. 500ml, the large bottle.

Why liquid iron in a food base

Liquid iron in a fruit-and-herb base is gentler company for the stomach than iron tablets, and the built-in vitamin C is there because C increases iron absorption. Floravital specifically exists for people the standard Floradix recipe doesn't suit — coeliacs, vegans and the yeast-sensitive get the same 100-year-old Salus formula, minus the exclusions.

How to take

Shake well and use the measuring cup: adults and children from 12 take 10ml twice daily, ideally on an empty stomach about 30 minutes before a meal. Younger children have their own doses on the label. Refrigerate after opening, store upright, and use within 4 weeks.

Good to know

Don't drink from the bottle — it spoils the batch. And if tiredness persists despite iron, that's a GP-and-blood-test conversation, not a bigger dose.
