About Frontline Plus Spot-On for Cats & Ferrets

The benchmark flea treatment for cats, in the Plus formula: fipronil kills adult fleas within 24 hours, ticks within 48, and lice — while (S)-methoprene stops flea eggs and larvae developing, cutting off the reinfestation cycle at the source. Licensed for cats and ferrets from 8 weeks and 1kg. 6 monthly pipettes of 0.5ml = 6 months of protection.

Why cats need the egg-stopper

A flea-carrying cat seeds eggs into every carpet, sofa and sunbeam it visits — adult-only treatments leave that pipeline hatching for months. The Plus formula's growth regulator sterilises the cycle, which is why vets kept recommending it through every new competitor.

How to apply

Part the fur at the base of the skull — where grooming tongues can't reach — and empty the pipette onto skin. Monthly application; keep the cat indoors until the spot dries and avoid stroking the area meanwhile.

Good to know

Fleas appearing after treatment are environmental hatchlings dying on your treated cat — expected for a few weeks. For proper infestations, treat the home too; the cat is only 5% of the problem.
