Where do you put Vagisil cream?
Vagisil cream is applied to the external skin of the intimate area (the vulva) only - it is not designed to be used internally. Follow the instructions on the pack.
Does Vagisil treat thrush?
No. Vagisil soothes external itching but does not treat thrush, which is a fungal infection that needs an antifungal treatment. If you think you have thrush, speak to a pharmacist or GP for the right treatment.
Why does Vagisil sometimes sting when applied?
A brief tingling can occur on sensitive or already irritated skin. If it stings strongly, keeps stinging, or the irritation gets worse, stop using it and speak to a pharmacist or GP.
Can you use Vagisil during pregnancy?
It is best to check with your pharmacist, midwife or GP before using Vagisil in pregnancy, particularly as intimate itching in pregnancy can have causes that need proper assessment.
