Just For Men colour generally lasts until the hair grows out or is shed, so on the beard or hair you will usually see regrowth and grey returning after a few weeks. Many men reapply every few weeks to keep grey covered.

Some Just For Men dyes contain PPD (para-phenylenediamine) or related dyes, which can cause allergic reactions in some people. This is why you must do the allergy alert test 48 hours before every application, even if you have used it before - check the specific pack's ingredients if you are sensitive.

Follow the pack, but Just For Men typically develops quickly, often around 5 minutes for beard dye, which is much less than many other dyes. Leaving it on longer than directed will not improve the result and is not recommended.

The beard and hair products are formulated differently, with beard dye made for coarser facial hair and the skin beneath, so it is best to use each product for its intended area. Use the hair colour for your scalp hair and the beard product for your beard.

Many Just For Men products are formulated without ammonia, but this varies across the range, so check the specific pack. Its beard dyes in particular are designed to work quickly without an ammonia smell.

It can temporarily stain the skin along the hairline or under the beard, but this usually fades over a day or two and can be reduced by wiping off any excess promptly. Applying a little barrier balm along the edges beforehand helps.
